A week in Berlin

Berlin is an extraordinary city for photo hunters. If you are lucky enough to get a few sunny days, the light becomes a faithful ally. I had the chance to visit it at the end of winter, exactly in the days when spring began to peep out. The government quarter, called 'Band des Bundes', is a surreal place in certain light conditions, with its symphony of glass and steel, and the city gives back rarefied atmospheres when visiting places like the Soviet War Memorial (Treptower Park) or the area around the Karl-Marx-Allee, with its huge apartment blocks.

I was already nostalgic for Berlin when I hadn't visited it yet, in the 1990s by Wim Wenders and U2. Visiting it reactivates in me the need to find those atmospheres and gives me a feeling of mystery. A fascination that becomes even stronger at night, with the dim lighting of the streets and the large, decidedly austere churches.
